Stay Young and Fit in Park City All Year
The key to staying active is to find something you love to do, then doing it as often as you can. For residents of Park City, this doesn’t usually involve going to the gym, but instead getting out and enjoying the many activities at Promontory and Park City.
Promontory members will tell you that staying active isn’t a chore, unlike some gym memberships can be. Staying healthy at Promontory is made far easier by the fact that we have so many different activities to offer – you’ll find something to suit your own individual pace and fitness level.
Enjoying the Snowy Slopes
Obviously one of the main reasons you want to become a Promontory member is because of our famous skiing facilities. The Promontory Deer Valley Alpine Lodge is available to you, which serves as a base camp for your winter adventure to ski in one the very best resorts in the world. Promontory also happy to organize skiing excursions to any other Park City ski resort for you…we’re here to make your time with us as enjoyable as possible.
Top-Ranked Utah Golf Courses
Surprisingly, playing a few rounds of golf per week is a great way to stay fit, especially if you’re a little older. In addition to getting some sun, you can enjoy low impact aerobic exercise, to get fit and healthy without all the usual aches and pains. Promontory has two award-winning golf courses to choose from, the Dye Golf Course and the Nicklaus Painted Valley Golf Course.
Equestrian Pursuits
Promontory also offers a world-class Equestrian Center, an exclusive club for our members. Every conceivable amenity including heated stalls, private stables and a private club lounge is here. The Center is managed by the former president of the Utah Hunter Jumper Association, Janna Hambor, so your four-legged family members will be exceptionally well cared for by an expert. It’s also worth noting that we cater to riders of any skill level.
Aquatic Activities
If you want to get your feet wet in more ways than one, why not move away from activities on dry land and try one of the dozens of different water sports offered at Promontory and the surrounding area? Promontory is situated quite close to two major reservoirs, giving you access to all kinds of water sports. Jordanelle State Park has over six square miles of water to have fun on, including plenty of sandy beaches for you to take a break. Rockport State Park offers 1.2 miles of water for fishing, water skiing and boating.
Utah Olympic Park
Travel a little bit further afield to take in everything that the Utah Olympic Park has to offer. Constructed in 2002 for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games, it’s since been expanded to include summer activities, too. When you visit, make sure you check out the Extreme ZipRider zip-line, officially the steepest zip-line in take world! Take a ride on the Comet Bobsled ride, too!
Good Trail Fun
For those of you who love hiking, biking and exploring, you’re going to love the hundreds of miles of nature trails, and biking tracks in and around Park City. Sometimes the best way to experience the outdoors is by taking a walk or cycling through it. Mother nature will guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
The above is but a sample of the many Promontory activities awaiting you and your family in Park City. We look forward to seeing you soon!
