“Over the years, Ryan has developed a distinct and dynamic artistic voice. One that can be heartbreakingly intimate at one moment and soaringly epic the next. The range of emotions Innes can articulate in a single song or across a setlist mirrors the emotional scope of the artist’s life, a contrasting mélange of turmoil, peace, grief and hope.”

“Under the guidance of winemakers Francoise Peschon and Elizabeth Tangney, Henry and Vanessa Cornell strive to make a Cabernet Sauvignon that is faithful to the terroir and to their principles as vintners. Our team’s radically modest approach allows for expressive, balanced wines with a sense of place and the ability to age gracefully.

In their pursuit of honest wines that capture the complexity of this magical place, they quickly learned that farming in-house with a full time team was the only path forward. In 2015, they invited their core vineyard crew and their families to live on the property year-round, to share the bond they feel with the land and make it their home. This has yielded a mutual commitment and deep connection to this mountain estate which is at once nature, farm, and home.”

Tennis & Pickleball Programs

Gigi Fernandez Tennis Clinic - Recap

On Sunday, August 7th, seventeen-time doubles tennis grand slam champion Gigi Fernandez came to Promontory to conduct a specialty clinic for our tennis members, and what a spectacular event it was! She was such a pleasure to work with on the court with her down to earth, warm and pleasant personality displaying such humility for such an icon in the tennis world.

She started off the afternoon with specific drills, while teaching her philosophy on doubles strategy and tactics with an emphasis on court positioning, shot selection and consistency in a way that was easy to understand and apply to their game. Gigi used plenty of teaching props also to assist our members with incorporating these skills along with some valuable tips on playing smart tactical tennis. Also, included in the afternoon activities were social round robin tennis matches to allow our members to apply some of these new skills into their game.

They finished off the day with a luncheon in the Dye clubhouse which Gigi shared amazing stories about her playing career and a wide variety of mental toughness tips that included match play preparation, overcoming match play stresses, visualization techniques, and cues about staying in the present and much more.

After lunch, she had a Q and A that pretty much filled the gamut and then of course, some photo opportunities with this amazing champion.

It was such an amazing opportunity to have Gigi come to Promontory and share her wealth of knowledge with our members, showcase her many talents and display why she was such an incredible champion. Thank you again Gigi Fernandez!
