The Shed

The Shed earned a national award — and for good reason. Inspired by Park City’s silver mining history, this 16,000-square-foot contemporary amenity is an imaginative architectural interpretation of an old mining shed. Designed by acclaimed Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin-trained architect John Sather, The Shed is a casual and family-friendly activity center that’s designed to bring families together for fun-filled activities. Located in the Village at Promontory, The Shed is a central gathering place with something for everyone!

The Shed Great Room invites you to sit by the fireplace and relax with family and friends or indulge in your favorite games in the Arcade. From pinball and board games to a deck of cards and chess, every age will enjoy every moment at The Shed!

CASUAL FAMILY DINING WITH SODA FOUNTAIN

Promontory’s “old school” Soda Fountain complements The Shed’s ambience with casual fare. Order a delicious milkshake, flavored soda or a cocktail as you spend time with friends and family. Watch your favorite sports team on one of our many TVs and enjoy delicious appetizers, burgers or pizzas.

THE STUDIO

Unleash your creativity in Promontory’s one-of-a-kind art studio. With floor-to-ceiling windows that capture some of the most spectacular views of the Wasatch Mountains, it’s easy to inspire your inner artist, no matter your age or ability. We offer a variety of classes, from ceramics and pottery to drawing and painting, and all are designed to help you develop and showcase your talent. Just pick a canvas and get started.

BILLIARDS AND GAME ARCADE

Whether you’re young or young at heart, you’ll find plenty of games, activities and entertainment at The Shed. Gather with your family for a game of cards or a night of board games or take a trip down memory lane with our selection of retro arcade games. If you’re looking for a little friendly competition, look no further than our pool table and foosball table. Game on!

SHED CINEMA

Pass the popcorn and enjoy movie night at The Shed! Take a seat in our 50-seat theatre and catch the latest blockbuster films or family-friendly matinees. The theatre also includes over 400 movie titles, for your own selection. Special screenings and sporting events are also premiered on our Shed big screen. Members may also utilize our theater for personal parties or events with advanced notice, though fees may apply.

SHED LANES

Our two-lane bowling alley is the perfect place to hang out and bowl a few rounds. All ages are welcome to play, and, for those who want a challenge, The Shed offers Youth and Adult Competitive Bowling nights where participants win special prizes.

SHED SPORTS COURT

Ready for a game of hoops? How about a little volleyball or badminton? The Shed’s indoor basketball arena makes for an exciting venue for all types of indoor recreation and competitive games. This flexible space can also be used as a venue for parties and events and features a sliding door that opens up for fresh air and a view of the outdoor amphitheater.

SHED AMPHITHEATER

The 500-seat outdoor amphitheater is another striking feature of The Shed. Tiered lawn seating with a fully equipped stage provides a wonderful setting for our signature events, Friday Night Concert Series and a multitude of other outdoor activities.

THE SHED MERCANTILE

From gourmet snacks, wines and picnic baskets to souvenirs and sundries, The Shed Mercantile lets you conveniently purchase a wide variety of items, making stocking up easier than ever and saving you a trip to town. Don’t forget to check out our selection of Promontory-branded gifts and wines.

SPACIOUS VIEW DECK WITH SPECTACULAR VISTAS

Some of the most amazing views of the Wasatch Mountains and Dye Canyon Golf Course can be seen from The Shed Deck. Comfortable lounge seating invites you to relax by the striking fire pit while enjoying majestic views, a glass of wine or lunch with friends.
