The Promontory Foundation hosted its annual Happiest Hour at the end of August, awarding $330,000 in grants to 35 nonprofit organizations serving the Wasatch Back. Since its founding, the Promontory Foundation has contributed more than $8.9 million in grants and matching funds to strengthen the Park City community.
This year’s signature Promontory Promise Grant of $40,000 was awarded to Peace House in recognition of its 30 years of service providing safety, healing, and hope to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The grant will expand Peace House’s children’s services program which supports the youngest survivors and works to break cycles of violence for future generations.

For Promontory members and leaders, Happiest Hour is a celebration of strong community ties. “It’s called the Happiest Hour for a reason,” said Promontory General Manager Kelli Brown. “Every year, we really look forward to this night to be able to celebrate the local nonprofits in our area that have done such meaningful work to provide both arts and culture and much-needed social services within the Park City area.”
Each grant awarded reflects a shared belief in building a stronger, more compassionate Park City for generations to come.
