Serving the Greater Park City Community
The mission of the Promontory Foundation is to serve the needs of the Park City community and Summit County by providing matching dollars for programs in Arts, Culture, and Social Services. The Promontory Foundation’s vision is to provide opportunities for Promontory Members to give, in both deeply personal and truly collaborative ways. We are working to create a caring community and a truly extraordinary place to live.
Promontory’s member-sponsored charitable foundation (Sec. 501 (c) (3)), The Promontory Foundation, holds an annual fundraising event to benefit these non-profit organizations. The beneficiary organizations range from local arts and theatre production groups to food banks, free clinics, and women’s shelters. This event is held the week of the July Fourth holiday. The Promontory Foundation is staffed entirely by volunteer Promontory members with no overhead expenses so that 100% of the proceeds benefit Park City area programs.
Since its inception in 2006, the Promontory Foundation has distributed more than $2.7 million to local non-profits with their matching requirements. This is an impact of more than $7.7 million.
