Farewell From Adam Huebner
I wanted to take this time to say farewell as this 2019 summer comes to a close and express my gratitude for the opportunity to direct the tennis programs for another fantastic tennis season. It’s been such a joy to watch the tennis program grow and witness the excitement that our members experience playing this fabulous game!
It’s always bittersweet when I have to return back to Phoenix as I love Park City. I was captivated instantly by its beauty and all that this ski town has to offer. However, it’s time to return home to my family, friends and teaching in the pleasant weather in the Valley of the Sun.
I must tell you all that it’s truly an honor and a privilege to be part of such an amazing club with a team of professionals that makes Promontory a world class club. My greatest gift aside from being on the court with you is the lasting relationships I’ve been blessed with over the years! It’s my truth that I’ve had the opportunity to meet some really incredible people playing and coaching for all of these years and you guys make it so meaningful and rich. From my heart, thank you!
Lastly, I’d like to wish all of our members a healthy and happy season with all the blessings on your journey!
Looking forward to seeing you in the summer of 2020 and may you all be blessed with many winners and very few unforced errors!

Member Trip To The Masters
Promontory’s Masters trip sure was one for the ages, capped off by an historical win by Tiger Woods!
We started our trip in Atlanta, Georgia where we played 2 rounds of golf including at the world renown Atlanta Athletic Club, it sure didn’t disappoint. From Atlanta, we took off to Augusta where we were able to attend Wednesday’s practice round and Par 3 challenge. We were spoiled that day with perfect weather and lots of laughs from the players and their kids who were their caddies for the day. The next two days we enjoyed the excitement of championship golf and the stunning beauty of Augusta National Golf Club. We had the pleasure of hanging out and having dinner with tour player Kevin Kisner on Thursday night. Kisner ended up finishing in 21st place. He was a great guy and definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
We have a couple of member trips scheduled for the upcoming year!

Planet Promontory – Going Green
Promontory loves our planet and we are doing everything possible to be ‘green’!
Here are some examples:
- Black, plastic drinking straws have been replaced with new green, biodegradable drinking straws.
- Plastic cocktail stir sticks have been replaced by green, biodegradable stir sticks and/or wooden stir sticks
- To-Go plates are now made with recycled and fully biodegradable paper, lids are compostable.
- Paper hot cups are all made from recycled paper and biodegradable.
- All outdoor events at Beach House and Shed summer concerts are using disposable plate ware made from fallen palm leaves, organic certified biobased product.
- We are converting all clear drinking cups and lids to a “green” biodegradable product which is due to arrive shortly. They are a logoed product that take 60 to 90 days to be produced.
WE PAY TO:
- We recycle all glass bottles
- We sponsor a glass recycling bin in The Triumph parking lot that is right outside the Equestrian Gate.
- We donate annually to Recycle Utah from our Promontory Foundation
- We WOULD LIKE to keep paying for all recycled paper/cardboard, but the market (especially from China) has collapsed for buyers of recycled material, so the last few companies we have hired to take our recyclables have gone out of business.

Summer Days At The Pool
Help keep Promontory the best! Please keep in mind our pool rules while relaxing in the sun or splashing away!
- All swimmers must wear bona fide swimming attire. Cut-offs, dungarees and bermuda shorts are not considered appropriate swimwear. Proper non-swim attire is required at all times in the clubhouse, other than in the locker rooms. Shoes or other foot coverings and caftans or shirts must be worn outside the swimming pool area.
- All food (meals, shakes, candy, etc) should be kept at the tables and not on
the pool edge or near the hot tubs. - Running, ball playing and hazardous activities (front or back flips into the pool) are not permitted in the pool areas. Pushing, dunking and dangerous games
are prohibited. - Floatation devices are permitted for non-swimming children up to 5 years
of age. Small toys such as balls, rings, etc., may be permitted depending on
the number of persons in the pool and the manner in which the toys are used. Water/squirt guns will not be permitted in or around the pool area. Blow up toys/tubes may be permitted, depending on the size of the
item and the number of persons in the pool. The pool staff has the authority
to discontinue use of these items upon the determination that they present
a safety hazard or hinder the enjoyment of the pool by others. Tire inner
tubes are not permitted at any time.

Rules For A Reason During The Season
With the busiest months at Promontory ahead of us, I am sending a gentle reminder about the need for all of our Members, their families and guests to treat our very-special amenities with care. We welcome all to ‘our house’ and expect that pride in ownership and pride in the quality of Promontory will be nurtured by all who come and use these amazing amenities. I am also asking that you remember and respect our hard-working cleaning and service staff and help them by putting towels and garbage in the proper bins. We want everyone to have magical days at Promontory by showing respectful conduct and keeping things nice for your fellow Members who come after you. In the event that
anyone in the family-of or as a guest-of the main Membership fails to meet the standards of our Club, please remember that the consequence will be on the main Member. So, please help everyone who is here ‘on you’ know the Club rules so they may enjoy their days with us here at Promontory Club.
Thanks, and happy summer!
