Promontory Golf
Notice: New No-Show Policy

In order to provide the best golf experience of our growing membership and to ensure that desired tee times are not wasted, Promontory management and the Golf Committee have agreed on new “no show” and “same-day cancellation” policies, effective immediately, as follows:

  • In the event that a Member makes a tee time and “No Shows” that tee time, that Member will be charged 4, 18-hole cart fees ($100). This penalty applies to same-day cancellations as well.
  • The next time that Member “No Shows” a tee time, that Member will be unable to book advance tee times (i.e., restricted to tee times 24 hours in advance, subject to availability).
  • Additionally, if you sign up for a foursome and show up with less than 4 without cancellation, penalties will be assessed.

End of Summer Concert with Parrot Nation

Saturday, September 4th at 6:00 pm
The Beach House

End the summer right! Join us at our End of Summer Concert at The Beach House for live music, dancing, and a whole lot of fun!

We encourage you to bring your own chairs (chairs should sit low and not exceed 9 inches from the base of the frame of the chair to the ground) or blankets, as we have a limited amount available.

No reservations are required to attend the concert, however, reservations are required for the Beach House BBQ.

Trail Detour for Three-Mile Canyon Trail

Due to active construction and necessary access in the new Elk Ridge Bluffs neighborhood, part of the existing Three-Mile Canyon Trail has been closed. Please see the above map for trail detour. (NOTE: The detour utilizes existing dirt trails).

Community Enrichment with Swaner Nature Preserve

The Nicklaus Fitness Studio, Garrett Head

Garrett Head is a NASM certified Personal Trainer and is a specialist in Golf fitness, helping people improve their range of motion, flexibility, balance, and build strength where strength is needed. He is originally from Mississippi and moved out west four years ago. Training has been a must of his for 8 years now and helping people improve their overall health is his passion. If you’re unfamiliar with the gym, need someone to guide you, or would like to improve your golf game, Garrett is your guy!

Get Outdoors with Our Outfitter's Cabin

Our Outfitters Cabin is ready to help you get out and have a great time in the outdoors in Promontory and beyond.

Guided Hikes

Explore the Princess Di single-track trail. This is our only single-track on property and is beautiful to hike. The hike can also familiarize you with the trail for winter snowshoeing. Dress for the outdoors, bring sunscreen and water.

Guided Mountain Bike Rides
Sundays at 10:30 am – Advanced/Expert Riders
Meet at The Outfitter’s Cabin

These rides last 1 hour and will give you a good feel for our Promontory trail system. Rides are between 3 and 5 miles and at times tackle significant elevation gain. Dress appropriately for the weather forecast and bring your water bottle.

Mondays & Wednesdays at 10:30 am
Beginners/Intermediate Riders

These rides last 1 hour and will give you a good feel for our Promontory trail system. We ride between 3 and 5 miles and at times tackle significant elevation gain. Dress appropriately for the weather forecast and bring your water bottle.

Bike rentals are available at The Outfitters for $25/day.

Fly Casting Lessons
Sundays at 1:30 pm
Fridays at 10:30 am

Learn the proper presentation for a fly and improve your distance & accuracy with a fly rod. Great preparation for when you can get to one of our blue ribbon trout streams with a guide.

Fly rods are available for use at The Outfitter’s Cabin or bring your own.

Family Fishing at The Mountain Garden Pond
Saturdays at 1:30 pm

The Outfitter will set you up with the fishing gear, bait, and will accompany the fishermen to the Garden Pond for catch and release trout fishing.

Stand up Paddle Boarding
Thursdays & Fridays at 1:30 pm
Meet at The Beach House

Get the basics of paddle boarding to gain confidence and help make the experience more fun. Paddle around, practice different strokes and techniques to maximize power and efficiency.

Club Reminders

Promontory Club App Reminder Uploading Your Profile Picture

As a measure to ensure that this amazing club retains its exclusivity, check-in is required to gain access to The Ranch Club concierge, The Ranch Club pool, The Shed, and The Beach House.

The next step in helping us do that is requiring that all Members add their Photos to the Promontory Club app. If you have not done so already, please take a few moments to upload/update your photo on the club app.

To upload your photo:

  • Open the app and tap “Menu” on the bottom, right-hand side.
  • Once you are on the menu screen, tap the profile picture icon on the top, left-hand side, right below the settings button.
  • On the top-right-hand side tap the edit icon and choose your photo.

Please note: Once you select your new photo, it will be submitted to the Club for approval. It will only update on the app after it has been approved.

Dress Code

The following dress code is to be observed in the dining rooms. We request collared shirts with sleeves for gentlemen and blouses for women when dining in the Hearth Grill or The Peak. Slacks, shorts, dresses, or skirts of mid-thigh length are considered appropriate dining attire as well as jeans or denim pants. No headwear may be worn in The Peak or The Hearth Grille dining rooms after 5:00 pm. Dress Hats when part of the ensemble will be permitted. Flip flops are not permitted in either dining room. Your comfort is a priority; however, we would like to maintain the elegance of our club dining experience.

Reservations & Checking In

As our Membership returns for the summer with family and friends, please be sure you have taken a few minutes BEFORE coming to the Club amenities to access the new Member Website with your temporary password and then downloaded the new Promontory App. You will need the new Promontory app installed to scan your Member QR code and gain access at The Ranch Club concierge, The Ranch Club pool, The Shed and The Beach House. The Member Website and App are also your key to creating gate house passes for your guests, accessing golf tee times, making dining and event reservations, reviewing club hours of operations, contact info, member rosters, and your Club and Conservancy statements.
