Calling all new Promontory Members! On Tuesday, July 19th, Promontory Club will be hosting a New Member Welcome & Orientation and would love to have you join us.

We have had many new families join Promontory Club over the past several months and we’d like to welcome you to our Club and help you best experience all that Promontory has to offer. This is a great opportunity to get to know some fellow new members, meet Promontory Club management and the Advisory Board of Governors, get informed on how to best access and use the Club amenities, and learn about the upcoming summer events and activities you won’t want to miss.

Tennis 101 Mixer

Friday, July 22nd | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Village Tennis Center | $50 per person

Players will play in same skill level teams trying to get to a score of 105 points. To achieve this score, a variety of points will be awarded for certain finishing shots during play. Light appetizers, libations, non-alcoholic drinks, and awards included.

Gigi Fernandez Tennis Clinic

Sunday, August 7th | 8:00 am – 4:15 pm
Village Tennis Center | $425 per person

Gigi will be sharing her knowledge and expertise on how to become a better doubles player. Each clinic will be on 2-3 courts while students participate in drills utilizing her doubles philosophy and strategy to become a more confident doubles player.

Schedule of Events:

  • 8:00 am – 9:45 am: VIP Clinic 1 (NTRP 3.0-3.5)
  • 9:45 am – 11:30 am: VIP Clinic 2 (NTRP 3.5-4.0)
  • 11:30 am – 1:15 pm: VIP Clinic 3 (NTRP 4.0-4.0)
  • 1:15 pm – 2:30 pm: Lunch and Q&A Session
  • 2:30 pm – 4:15 pm: VIP Clinic 3 (NTRP 3.5-4.0)

Tennis Clinic Includes:

  • 1 hour and 45 minutes on court with Gigi
  • 4 to 1 player to coach ratio (8 players on 2 courts)
  • 1 hour and 30-minutes Round Robin Tournament for each clinic group. Awards for the top match winners.

Gigi Fernandez is the winner of 2 Olympic Gold Medals and 17 Grand Slam doubles titles. A tennis Hall of Fame member, Gigi is recognized as one of the best doubles players of all time. She shares her passion and knowledge of tennis with recreational players all over the world.

Tennis & Pickleball Programs

Women's Member/Guest Tournament

Wednesday, July 27th
Village Tennis Courts | NTRP 3.5 – 4.0
$90 Per Person | $180 Per Team

Join us for our Women’s Member/Guest tournament

This exciting, competitive, doubles event is a member favorite and is limited to a total of 16 players. This event will fill up, so register quickly to guarantee your spot.

Format: Each team will play a total of 7 rounds of 8 games with a 9 point tie-breaker at 4 games all. At the end of 7 rounds, the team with the most games won will determine our winner.

Includes: A Goodie Bag, Awards, Lunch, Drink & Snacks, and pro exhibition

We have complied our first Book of Tennis! In these pages you will find the entire summer schedule of activities along with tidbits about how to best enjoy tennis and pickleball at Promontory. You can read the Book of Tennis book below.

We have also added a new button to the Promontory App called “Tennis Programs” where you can sign up for camps, clinics, and events. We look forward to seeing you out on the courts!

Pickleball Clinics with Myrna Lueck

Myrna is a certified PPR instructor who has been playing Pickleball since 2015. She crossed over to pickleball from a background of softball and table tennis. She has medaled in several major Pickleball tournaments, including Gold at the Utah Huntsman Senior Games in 2018 and a Bronze at the Nationals in Palm Springs, CA in 2019. Myrna has also served as the Heber Valley USA Pickleball Ambassador since 2016.

Beach Club & The Hot Spot Cafe
The Beach Club and The Hot Spot Cafe are open 7-days a week throughout the summer for pool and beachside dining. As a reminder, no outside food and beverages or coolers are permitted inside The Beach Club or at The Village Pool.

Hearth & Peak Restaurant Reservation Cancellation Policy
Cancellations need to be made either by using the Promontory App or by emailing reservations.

Cancellations are accepted up to 12:00 pm on the day of the reservation.
Reservations can only be honored up to 15 minutes past the reservation time.
A No-Show fee of $25 per person up to $100 will be applied to your member account if the reservation is not cancelled and no one from your group comes to the restaurant at the time of the reservation.

Dining Reminder for Social Members
As we head into golf season, we wanted to remind our members that the Nicklaus Clubhouse and the Peak are full member only amenities during golf season. Outside of golf season, Social Members may dine in the Peak within a 48 hour reservation window.
