Village Clubhouse, Pool, & Playground Refresh - Update

The planned remodel work at the Village Clubhouse, pool and playground is underway. We will continue to post updates as the work commences. Due to the nature of construction, there may be some modifications to the schedule below. We will do all we can to keep as much open as possible during construction. Below are this week’s updates:

  • The Village Clubhouse locker rooms are fully open. Plumbing and shower tile updates are complete along with the steam room repairs. New swimsuit spinners were added and the flooring in the spa treatment rooms is being replaced this week.
  • The adult pool replastering was complete in early April and is open for your enjoyment. The Village family pool and hot tubs are under construction and moving along nicely. The new Nanowall system has been installed in the atrium. Over the two weeks, we will be finishing the replastering and coping repairs on the pool and the atrium woodwork and staining will be completed. We plan to have the family pool and hot tubs reopened before Memorial Day weekend.
  • The Kids’ Club playground is being upgraded with new equipment and a new rubberized surface. The old equipment was removed, new concrete edging and stairs have been poured, and the gravel underlayer has been laid. The new equipment is now scheduled to arrive for installation late May, followed by the new rubberized surface installation. Planned reopening is early June. Please pardon our dust! It is going to be an interactive new addition for our Promontory Kids.

We tried to time these important upgrades during “mud season” – between end of ski season and Memorial Day – so as to disrupt as little club usage as possible. Thanks for your patience as we work to keep our amenities in top shape for our members.

Letter from the Conservancy
Water-Wise Community Efforts

If you couldn’t join us for the Water-Wise Presentation with Mountain Regional Water and Utah State University Professor, Kelly Kopp, Ph.D. You can check out the video below.

The presentation and information shared were excellent and so informative. Please take some time to review the video and get updated on both the current state of water in our area and how you can help conserve.

Video Access Code: ^j.1i+vq

As part of our focused attention on water and Utah’s extreme drought condition, we are strongly asking that all homeowners please review your home irrigation systems and be sure that you are limiting your watering and have a smart irrigation system with flow meter installed. Suggestions for a couple of affordable smart watering systems are included in the Conservancy’s water-wise letter linked below.

If you have not done so already, please take a few minutes to read about the Conservancy’s efforts in making Promontory a water-wise community and what action is required on your part. Please note that our Design Guidelines have been updated to reflect new requirements for water-wise landscaping as well. There is a lot that you can do to slow the flow, especially as the local water districts are enacting cutbacks this year.
