Village Clubhouse, Pool, & Playground Refresh - Update

The planned remodel work at the Village Clubhouse, pool and playground has begun. We will continue to post updates as the work commences. Due to the nature of construction, there may be some modifications to the schedule below. We will do all we can to keep as much open as possible during construction. A few important items to note:

  • The locker rooms will be under construction for two weeks beginning today, April 18th. New plumbing fixtures, shower tile, and swimsuit spinners are being installed. The family restroom downstairs as well as the men’s and women’s restrooms upstairs will remain open during construction.
  • The Village Clubhouse spa will be closed from April 21st – April 30th. The Lavender Spa will be open with a limited menu available. View the menu here
  • The weight room will be closed for 3 days from April 19th – 21st for work on the ceiling beams. During this timeframe the cardio room will still be open, and the Nicklaus Fitness will have extended hours until 8pm. For these three days the Nicklaus Fitness room will be available to all members.
  • The Village family pool and hot tubs are now drained and will be closed for approximately 6 weeks to allow for replastering, coping repairs, construction of new atrium support beams, atrium work including the installation of the new Nanowall system, and refinish of the wood work.
  • The Kids’ Club playground is being re-done with new equipment and a new rubberized surface. In preparation for the installation that will begin in early May, the existing equipment was removed last week and the site is being prepared for some concrete edging and gravel underlayment. Please pardon our dust! It is going to be a wonderful new upgrade for our Promontory Kids.

We tried to time these important upgrades during “mud season” – between end of ski season and Memorial Day – so as to disrupt as little club usage as possible. Thanks for your patience as we work to keep our amenities in top shape for our members.

Employee Spotlight
Trisha Conrad, Head Concierge

Trisha Conrad is our Concierge Manager and has been with Promontory for three and a half years. She comes to us from Birmingham, Alabama and she loves to remind members that she is a ROLL TIDE Fan (but not an obnoxious one). She is very passionate about her Southern Hospitality background and prior to Promontory she was in the Hotel Industry for 39 years. Most of her career was spent in Birmingham, Alabama in the banquet departments and in operations. Her feather in her cap was when she was the opening General Manager of The Hotel Telluride in Telluride, Colorado in 2001.

She considers the members at Promontory family and is so touched how everyone has made her feel so welcomed from day one. Since she was not able to have children, her staff is like her children, and she thinks of herself as “Mama Bear”. She feels very fortunate to spend the last chapter of her career at Promontory Club and is and is enjoying her best single life in Park City.

Dining Reminder for Social Members

As we head into golf season, we wanted to remind our members that the Nicklaus Clubhouse and the Peak are full member only amenities during golf season. Outside of golf season, Social Members may dine in the Peak within a 48 hour reservation window. (The Nicklaus Painted Valley Course is scheduled to open May 13th).

The Promontory Foundation

Pivotal Group’s CEO and founder and developer of Promontory, Francis Najafi, spearheaded the formation of this foundation in 2006 to help serve the unmet needs of the Park City Community in the areas of Social Services and Arts and Culture. To date, the Promontory Foundation has had a $4.75 million impact on the community through its donations and required matching grants. 2021 was our best fundraising event to date, raising $330,000 that was donated to 27 different local non-profits.

Save the Date

We are excited to announce that the annual Promontory Foundation fundraising dinner and concert will be on Saturday, July 2nd at the Shed Amphitheater beginning at 6:30pm. We have hired Who’s Bad, a Michael Jackson tribute band, for the entertainment. It will be a high energy show with all of your classic MJ songs. More details to come.

In Case You Missed It

Employee Spotlight
Chase Cardoza, Chef de Cuisine

Chef Chase joined our Promontory team in late 2021 from the small town of Red Lodge, Montana, where the Beartooth Mountains and Yellowstone National Park were his playground. He loves the outdoors: an avid skier; fisher; camper; hiker; and consumer of fine literature, food, and beverage. Growing up on a small ranch surrounded by an abundance of heirloom ingredients and open-range livestock, Chase developed a deep passion for heritage farming and ranching. This passion led to a dedication for top-tier ingredients that showcase local bounties of the culture and landscape wherever work has taken him. Over the last twenty years he has honed his skills within every facet of the service industry, working for a multitude of different restaurants and concepts. Most notably, Chase has served alongside the gastronomic geniuses of Bodega + The Rest, Current Fish & Oyster, The Ranch at Rock Creek, and the Montana Ale Works. He has worked alongside Michelin Starred and James Beard Nominated Chefs, while being just as comfortable slinging breakfast from a Mom-and-Pop Diner. Currently, Chase is assisting the culinary team at The Shed as he prepares to open the Beach Club for yet another exciting summer. He’s always happy to chat with members and find ways to improve your experience at the Promontory Club!
