Happening This Week

The Hills at Promontory - Ground Breaking

We are excited to break ground this week on our third Promontory golf course, The Hills at Promontory – a Forrest Richardson course, with the accompanying 18-hole putting course, Cascade Greens. Our current planned opening date is Summer 2023.

We wanted to send a communication piece to outline Promontory’s efforts in making this as smooth a construction process as possible.

During approximately the first 90-days of construction, we expect an influx of trucking along Promontory Ranch Road. All Construction workers and vendor vehicles will be parked within the golf course project area and not along the main road. There will also be traffic control measures in place to ensure safety and we expect only limited driving delays in the area. Please plan accordingly, and thank you for your patience.

We will continue to keep you informed as the construction progresses.

If you have any questions specific to The Hills at Promontory golf course construction, please contact Dan Grassi, Construction Manager/Owners Representative, at (858) 951-7711 or email below.

Golf Tee Times

Tee times for the 2022 Golf Season will open on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022.

  • As is customary with mature golf communities, tee times that are booked as a single, twosome or threesome are subject to being paired with other members looking to play at a similar time.
  • In the event that a Member makes a tee time and “No Shows” that tee time, that Member will be charged 4,18-hole cart fees ($100). The next time that Member “No Shows” a tee time, that Member will be unable to book advanced tee times. Please be considerate of your fellow members and cancel any unneeded tee times in advance so that they will not be wasted.

John divides his time between California, Burgundy, Utah, and Chicago.

In California, John works with the winemaking teams at their family owned vineyards and wineries (Sanford, Rutherford Hill, EPISODE and Chimney Rock) focused on producing wines as representations of the vineyards they farm.

In Burgundy, John spends time with his Domaine owning friends who farm some of the most renowned vineyards of the region, then bringing their wines to the US. Wind down after skiing at The Shed for après ski cocktails and appetizers, while enjoying an intimate performance by local, singer/songwriter Alicia Stockman!

“Alicia Stockman is a Utah-based folk-meets-Americana singer-songwriter whose music pulls back the veil to reveal everyday vulnerability. Her songs are written like intimate moments, drawing listeners into a relatable emotional journey, guided along by her whisky-dipped soulful vocals. Influenced by the vivid storytelling of powerhouse songwriters like Patty Griffin, Indigo Girls, and Jewel, she finds her home in the folk and Americana scene. Her debut album These Four Walls is a collection of “songs to make you feel and feel seen.” The album says, “I see you. I’ve been there. I understand.” These Four Walls is a luminous roots release infused with gritty blues rock guitar licks and attention-worthy melodies.”
