Recycling & Garbage Reminder

Please use your own garbage and recycling containers for garbage and recyclable materials. If you have more than your containers can handle, please DO NOT dispose of trash or recyclable materials in any dumpsters or trash bins located in Promontory. This includes but is not limited to dumpsters or bins near club facilities and construction sites.

  • Momentum Recycling offers at home glass recycling pick-up for $12/month! For more information & to sign-up click here.
  • Recyclable materials can be taken to Recycle Utah in Park City. Information can be found here.
  • For excess household garbage, Summit County has a landfill located east of Promontory. Information for the Three Mile Canyon Landfill can be found here.

Holiday Decor & Lighting

Please Note: Holiday Lights should have been turned off by February 28th.

Owners may display holiday decorations located or visible from outside their Residences if the decorations are of the kinds normally displayed in single family residential Villages, are of reasonable size and scope, and do not disturb other Owners and residents by excessive light or sound emission or by causing an unreasonable amount of spectator traffic. Holiday decorations may be displayed in season only from November 1 to February 28th and during other times of the year, from one week before to one week after any nationally recognized holiday.

In Case You Missed It

Porch Light for Cabin Residences

If you live in a Cabin Community, and are home during snowstorms, please turn your porch light on so that the snow removal team can gauge which driveways need to be prioritized. This is a simple way to help snow removal teams clear driveways in the order they are likely to be used.

Removal of Snow Berms

As plow trucks clear roads, “snow berms” may form where driveways meet the road. Where this occurs, the homeowner is responsible for clearing the berms. In the event of emergency, an owner may contact the Conservancy to help clear the driveway. Although the Conservancy will try to remedy the situation as quickly as possible, the HotShot crew can only respond to exigent circumstances and makes no guarantees regarding timeframe of removal.

Snow Removal Reminder

Happy New Year’s Eve! With the huge overnight snow accumulation, our hotshot crews are out in full force helping our two contracted firms clear snow as fast as possible. They are doing their best to keep up. Please contact Snow Removal if you have any issues.

This year, the Conservancy is continuing its contract with NRGY for snow removal of the roads. For the cabin communities, TUCK Landscaping will provide driveway snow removal services.

The Conservancy will also continue its “hotshot” snow removal crew to address emergencies. If you live in a cabin community, and you can foresee particular circumstances that may require special attention, please email snow removal below and the Conservancy will do everything it can to accommodate in the event that the contractor has not timely or adequately cleared a driveway.

All owners within Promontory may direct general questions and inquiries regarding snow removal to snow removal below.

Conservancy Reminders

Trash Pick up

On trash pickup day, please keep all trash inside your dumpster, with the lid closed. Please DO NOT leave cardboard boxes, furniture, or anything else that won’t fit in the dumpster on the ground – the truck drivers will not stop to collect anything outside the dumpster.

If your weekly trash is more than will fit in your dumpster, please contact Republic Services (435-615-8311) for another dumpster.

Emergency Notifications

Some years ago Summit County created a system to provide phone, email, and text messages regarding emergencies. The system was upgraded such that anyone who previously signed up will need to sign up again.

The alert center also provides information about non-emergency matters in and about Summit County.
