Park City Lacrosse Fundraiser Christmas Tree Removal

Help support the boys & girls of The Park City Lacrosse Team! They are offering curbside pick up of Christmas Trees this weekend, January 9th & January 10th.

Tax Deductible Donation – $35 Per Tree
Trees over 10 ft. – $50

Please have your tree decorations removed and ready in your driveway by 9:00 am on your scheduled pickup date.

There have been a number of homeowners who have just left their trees in the roadway. Please note that the regular garbage trucks will not pick those up. In addition to the fundraiser noted above, Christmas Tree pickup is available from Republic Services or at drop off locations they administer.

Please Do Not Feed The Animals

Life at Promontory comes with a front-row seat to a unique display: wildlife. Between the deer, elk, porcupines, and many others, the landscape is full of animals most people do not have the opportunity to see. As a steward of the open space at Promontory, the Conservancy is tasked with maintaining and preserving this natural environment, including the wildlife habitat. With input from state wildlife offices, we have learned that the best way to do this is to allow the animals the opportunity to live on their own, without any supplemental care. As such, we ask that Promontory owners please not leave out food or other attractants for the animals. Though it may seem counterintuitive, this practice has the potential to do more harm than good.

have one-of-a-kind access to their world – our collective cooperation will ensure this access continues for years to come.

New Stop Sign

In the coming weeks, stop signs will be added near the construction gate entrance, that will create a three-way stop on Promontory Ranch Road. With this change, members and guests will stop when heading east after passing through the Equestrian Gate, and all west-bound traffic will stop when approaching the Equestrian Gate. Presently, a stop sign is in place only for construction traffic accessing the community after passing by the construction gate. Please familiarize yourself with the placement on the map below and be ready for this coming change.

Slide into Winter at The Luke Ridge Tubing Hill

The Luke Ridge Tubing Hill is now open!
Now – Season End
Friday-Sunday | 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm Weather Permitting

Tubing for owners and members will be included as part of your monthly dues!

All owners can be issued a season pass for each member of their household (household includes immediate family members). To get your season pass, you’ll need to fill out a tubing hill waiver (link below), then head to the Reservations Desk at Double Deer in the Nicklaus Clubhouse to have your picture taken for your Tubing Hill season pass. Please note that passes are non-transferable and will be revoked with unauthorized use. We cannot allow any member, owner, or guest to use the tubing hill without a signed tubing hill waiver in place.

You may continue to invite your guests. Fees for guest use will still apply. $15/guest or $100 for a 10-punch pass. Waivers required.

Congratulations to the Owner Elected Directors

Thank you to all who participated in the election for the 2021-22 Board of Directors seats.

Congratulations to Leslie Larson and John Irvine, who received the most votes and will serve the community for this upcoming two-year term.

Board Meeting Dates

The Conservancy has tentatively scheduled the board meetings for 2021:

  • 1st Quarter: March 24, 2021
  • 2nd Quarter: June 16, 2021
  • 3rd Quarter: August 18, 2021
  • 4th Quarter: October 20, 2021
  • Annual: December 15, 2021

All meetings are scheduled for 10:00 am MT and will be broadcasted online.

Pet Policy Reminder

Please consider other Promontory owners when taking your dogs out:

  • Even if your dogs are “friendly” they must remain on leash and under your control.
  • Dogs should be on a leash at all times, unless at the Dog Park or the off-leash trail leading up to the Dog Park.
  • Please clean up your animals’ waste. Bags are provided at the Dog Park and at various locations on the trails.
  • Please properly dispose of the waste bags in the garbage cans provided or otherwise. DO NOT leave these bags on the trails or elsewhere.

Holiday Decor & Lighting Rules & Guidelines

Owners may display holiday decorations located or visible from outside their Residences if the decorations are of the kinds normally displayed in single-family residential Villages, are of reasonable size and scope, and do not disturb other Owners and residents by excessive light or sound emission or by causing an unreasonable amount of spectator traffic. Holiday decorations may be displayed in season only from November 1 to March 1 and, during other times of the year, from one week before to one week after any nationally recognized holiday. Dumpster Use

Just a reminder that the large dumpsters around Promontory are for operational use only. Please do not take your extra refuse to these dumpsters.

If you have more than your dumpsters can contain, please contact Republic Services at
435-615-8311 for an extra can or make arrangements for drop off at the many dumpster sites in the Park City area.

Conservancy Reminders

Pedestrian Safety

Our community is active, out, and about. Be safe when walking. When walking along a road, walk only on the shoulder (off of the asphalt), as far as practicable from the edge of the asphalt roadway. Where a sidewalk or a road shoulder is not available, walk on the outside edge of the roadway; and walk only on the far left side of the roadway facing oncoming traffic. The best place to walk is on Promontory’s 30 miles of trails.

Street Parking Reminder

All vehicles should be parked in the garage or driveway. This includes parking for any guests, vendors, landscapers, etc. Limited on-street parking is permitted on a case-by-case basis for homes under construction and temporary events (parties, for example). In these instances, we ask that you please contact the Conservancy ahead of the event to coordinate permission. Non-conventional vehicles must be parked in a garage or off-site.

Emergency Preparedness

Be Prepared. Know Your Exits.

Knowing your escape route is important before the need arises. At Promontory, there are FOUR exit points that can be used in case of an emergency.
  • Promontory Ranch Road to exit out the Main Gate or Equestrian Gate, when practicable. These routes are paved and lead to major thoroughfares better able to handle traffic.
  • Take Painted Valley Pass south as if going to the Nicklaus Golf Course, but continuing onto the dirt road where the paving ends near the driving range, which eventually leads to Brown’s Canyon
  • Go west on the dirt road off of the north side of Saddlehorn Drive in Bison Bluffs neighborhood, near the pump house, which will ultimately connect with Silver Gate Drive, Pace Frontage Road, and Promontory Ranch Road outside of the Equestrian Gate.

Emergency Notifications

Some years ago Summit County created a system to provide phone, email, and text messages regarding emergencies. The system was upgraded such that anyone who previously signed up will need to sign up again.

The alert center also provides information about non-emergency matters in and about Summit County.
