Cognition Winery
Cognition Winery is the only one of its type in Park City and is the creation of Dennis Romankowski. After several years of studying winemaking in both Italy and France, Dennis returned home to Park City to establish a vineyard here – at an elevation of 7,000 feet. This intention might seem impossible to anyone else, but Dennis was determined. Suffice it to say he was successful, but the only way to truly appreciate what Dennis and his wife Gina have achieved here is to sample the wines themselves, which can be done by appointment.
Annual Park City Food & Wine Classic
From July 8th through July 12th this year, make plans to attend the 11th Annual Park City Food & Wine Classic. Obviously, this festival is a celebration of both food and wine, but wine lovers attending the event will find they will be spoiled by the many culinary offerings. Expand your palette and explore a new world of tastes by attending the Park City Food & Wine Classic. You will enjoy wines from some of the very best wineries, vineyards and wine importers in the country.
The Fox School of Wine
You had probably hoped, but never dreamed that a school of fine wine could exist, but that’s exactly what the Fox School of Wineoffers. You can sign up to attend wine tasting classes, with options for live classes, a home study course, and even online tutorials! Kirsten Henry is the headmistress, so register for some classes, such as the Weekend Wine Series, while there are still spaces available and enjoy the ride.
Promontory Wine Club
Yes, wine is so popular here that we even have our very own Promontory Wine Club! Our Wine Club meets every third Wednesday of the month and features a variety of wines paired with savory dishes from our talented chefs. Monthly food and wine themes educate and entertain Promontory members. And, we are very proud of our extraordinary wine selection at Promontory for members and their guests. The Hearth Grille has more than 800 bottles of wine to choose from, beautifully displayed on the Wine Wall, and offering selections that will complement any meal. You can choose from a range of well-priced champagnes and sparkling wines, a broad selection of white wines through deep reds, and varietals you’ve always been tempted to try.
