William and Adrienne Vanderbloemen live in Houston, TX. When they moved there many years ago, they were told, “We have two seasons here: Summer and August!” That led the Vanderbloemens to look for a regular summer respite from the Texas heat. One trip to Promontory sold them on making Promontory their second home!

William and Adrienne have 7 children. Matthew (25) is a consultant with Deloitte in Washington, DC. Mary (22) is a high school math teacher in Bryan, TX. Sarah (18) is a freshman at Baylor.  Winnie (16) is a high junior, cheerleader, and fashion blogger (http://thewindog.com). Will (14) is a freshman at  Saint John’s School in Houston and is an avid soccer player. Emma (13) loves lacrosse but is recovering from a nasty injury at Deer Valley last summer. Macy (8) is a singer, actress, and artist. She has loved the Equestrian camp at Promontory, and along with the rest of the children actively enjoys skiing, golf, tennis, hiking, and all the amenities the club offers.  William used to play a lot of golf and Adrienne played a good bit of tennis… They are hopeful that summers at Promontory will help them return to their sports. William holds degrees from Wake Forest University and Princeton Theological Seminary, and Adrienne from Davidson College. William serves as Founder and CEO of Vanderbloemen Search Group (http://vanderbloemen.com), an executive search and consulting group that serves churches and faith-based organizations. William and Adrienne started the company together and have worked closely together over the years as the company has grown from a card table in their home to a leading executive search firm doing work all over the world.

Prior to executive search, William served as a pastor and Senior Pastor in the Presbyterian church in North Carolina, Alabama, and Houston. William has written three books: Next: Pastoral Succession That Works on effective pastoral leadership and succession, Search: The Pastoral Search Committee Handbook, and his latest book Culture Wins: The Roadmap To An Irresistible Workplace which has become a bestseller on the topic of workplace culture.

William and Adrienne look forward to many years of memories with family and new friends at Promontory. Look for them walking the trails with their two Standard Poodles, Moses and Pearl.
