You could say that Arnie Rubin has lived in Toy Land for most of his life… From a career filled with Tonka trucks, bubbles, and bouncy balls to a life in Park City filled with golf, skiing, and motorcycles. Arnie is a 50+ year veteran in the toy industry and was inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame in 2012. While in high school he worked at a toy warehouse and quickly found his passion. In 1969 he co-founded Imperial Toys and in 1987 founded Funrise Toys, a company well known for Tonka Trucks.

Hi wife, Laura, has worked in commercial and residential real estate in LA for over 30 years and she knows a good thing when she sees it… In 2005 she came to Park City for a girls weekend and loved Promontory so much she bought a lot on the spot! They moved here full-time in 2010 from LA.

The two have been together for over 16 years and are grandparents of one with one on the way! Arnie’s two kids keep them bicoastal…. Arnie’s son, Brian, and his family are in Brooklyn and Arnie’s daughter, Laurie, is in Honolulu. You may remember Laurie from her Opera performance here at Promontory in 2016!

Arnie and Laura are party goers and throwers, they love their dog, Lucy who is adopted from Nuzzles and Co., love to travel, golf, and cook, and are members of Temple Har Shalom.
