They are the ultimate foursome – Randy, Debbie, and their sons, Draegen and Karsten are either together on the golf course or enjoying the slopes during ski season.
Randy is from Houston and graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M. He’s put that degree to use as an engineer in the energy business. For the last five years he’s been an energy consultant for a family in Mexico that imports and sells propane. His job has moved him and the family around the US and all over the world most notably to Norway, Russia, Mexico, and Lithuania, but they are proud to now call Park City home.
Debbie was born and raised in Houston and has enjoyed many jobs due to all of the family moves. Throughout her career she’s worn many hats: stock broker, city manager, 501c3 director, professional golf events manager, real estate agent, medical sales rep, a candle maker in Mexico, and she has recently finished her first season as a ticket checker at Deer Valley.
Their oldest, Draegen has been on the golf course since he was young and loves competing. He played college golf at Southern Methodist University in Dallas and graduated with a degree in economics and finance. After college he worked in the oil and gas industry in Oklahoma City then changed his career path to ministry. He works for College Golf Fellowship (CGF) in Tulsa, Oklahoma and travels to college campuses meeting with players and coaches to build relationships and encourage them spiritually.
Karsten played baseball, soccer, and ran track growing up but he excelled at golf. He played college golf first at UNLV then transferred to Oklahoma State and last summer he won the Promontory Men’s Golf Club Championship. After college he worked in the oil and gas industry in Tulsa but like his older brother realized it wasn’t for him. He did an internship with College Golf Fellowship (CGF) and loved it. He has now been there for almost three years. The brothers are looking forward to hosting their first CGF retreat in Promontory this summer.
The whole family is looking forward to adding another family member in September. Karsten proposed to his girlfriend, Taylor Hanson, in January near the Promontory soccer field – The mountains at sunset were a beautiful backdrop for a very special event.
The Majors have been skiing in Park City for years and always chose the PC resorts because it’s an easy flight from Oklahoma and an easy drive to the slopes from the Salt Lake airport. They love Promontory because of the amazing golf and ski community it offers plus the amenities are unlike anything else.
Randy, Debbie, Draegen, and Karsten – so happy to have your energetic and outgoing family a part of our community!
