Orrin and Paula Harrison have been members of Promontory since August 2003. They first moved to Park City in 1994 and had a home in the Park Meadows area but it got too crowded. They built a home in Wapiti Canyon in Promontory in 2008 and are so happy to be a part of our community!
Orrin is an 8th generation Texan and Paula is a 7th generation Texan. They have been married for 47 years and raised their three children in Highland Park, TX. They are proud grandparents and New Year’s 2018 was the first time they had all seven grandchildren together at Promontory! Thanks to Promontory member, Brett Armstrong, they have this wonderful photo (above) to remember their time together. Paula is a retired librarian and Orrin is a commercial litigator in Dallas who tried to retire after 44 years of practice in 2013, but he just couldn’t do it and is still practicing. He especially loves to work from his home office overlooking the 12th Fairway on the Dye golf course.
The two are very involved at Promontory. Paula was the first member on the Promontory Foundation Board. She loves the Foundation’s commitment to the Park City community and has served on the board for eight years. She is also proud to be chairman of the Promontory Dog Park Committee. Orrin is beginning his sixth year as lead director of the Board of Governors of Promontory, working first with Rick Sonntag and now with Robin Milne to facilitate communication between the developer and the membership. During his time as lead director he has worked on the adult lap pool, the development of the Nick Clubhouse, the Beach House, the Deer Valley Lodge, he oversaw work on the Nick Turnhouse, and is now working on the upcoming Dye Turnhouse, the Park City Ski Lodge, the Nick Convention Center, and the Double Deer Lodges.
When Orrin and Paula bought their Promontory lot the club consisted of the Outfitter’s Cabin and the Kid’s Cabin. They have loved seeing the growth over the years and the concept of the multi-generational club that it provides for their family.
Thank you for all you do for Promontory, Paula and Orrin! We love having you a part of our community.
