Gary and Sue feel very blessed to now call Promontory home! They spend the majority of their time here but travel to their second home in Newport Beach during the off seasons in Park City.
Gary is from Muskegon, Michigan and went to college at Michigan State for his undergraduate degree in physiology as well as his MBA. He is well traveled and has lived in Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Florida, and Seattle for 10 years before moving to Orange County. Gary spent 18 years as a Bond Trader then made the leap into to the Affordable Multifamily Housing business as a real estate developer. He is happy to announce that he just moved his business headquarters to Park City in the Gateway building just off of Main Street.
Sue is from Orange County and went to California State University, Fullerton where she graduated with a degree in counseling and school psychology. She started her career as a Junior High counselor then became a publicist and started her company, OC Public Relations, which specializes in the non-profit industry. She has been a publicist for 25 years and although she loves it, her life has come full circle and she’s back to helping children. She has always had a heart for the struggling child and that’s why she founded The Literacy Project. Similar to The Phonics Game and Hooked on Phonics, The Literacy Project is a phonetic-based reading game that helps struggling second graders learn to read. Now that Sue and Gary are residents of Park City she is bringing her nonprofit organization’s service to our area and planning to offer her free program to the South Summit School District.
They have three children whom are very driven and successful like their parents. Their daughter, Crystal, lives in Costa Mesa, California and is with Rockstar Energy Drinks. She is the International Model Manager which she loves and this job has also prompted her to create her own modeling agency, Catwalk Entertainment.
Their daughter, Mackenzie, is a realtor and lives in Pasadena California. She was a Theatre Arts major and when she’s not working hard in the real estate market she truly enjoys going to the performing arts.
Their son, Travis, lives in Denver, Colorado and is a web master. He owns his own company, The Website Cannon, and has been a web developer since he graduated college.
Gary has been coming to Park City for 30 years but Sue came here for the first time just a few years ago and fell in love. In the summer of 2014, they decided to lease a home in Promontory and by the second month they decided they wanted to stay, become residents, and build their dream home.
