Eric Alban grew up in the Midwest and realized at a very young age he belongs in the great outdoors. The only times you will find him indoors is for fitness classes or in the cockpit of his Delta plane otherwise he’s outside enjoying Utah’s natural playground! After flight school he requested to be based in Salt Lake City and that dream came true. He moved to Park City 27+ years ago and has been flying for Delta Air Lines ever since. He is now happy to be a full-time member at Promontory.
His list of hobbies isn’t short… skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, mountain biking, road-biking, dirt biking, traveling, golfing, tennis, yoga, and he even did skeleton for one season at the Utah Olympic Park. You will rarely see him driving his car because he bikes to all of his errands – and not just when the weather is good but year round.
Eric has two sons, Dane and Dillon ages 26 & 22. His oldest son, Dane, graduated from the University of Utah with honors, worked with our country’s FEMA director in Washington DC for one semester, lived in Australia for one year and did a work program in Sydney, and is currently in Intelligence academics school for the National Guard in SLC. The youngest, Dillon, lives with Eric in Promontory and is a senior at the University of Utah. He has a 3.9 GPA and is working toward being a Physicians Assistant.
Both sons are very much outdoor-minded like their dad and Eric jokes that the disadvantage to living in Promontory and building a beautiful home here is that his sons may never leave! The Albans have never experienced a community like Promontory with so much to do whether it’s at one of our great amenities or outside on our trails. Eric is looking forward to being an avid social member, skiing with our outfitter, Sean Smith, and taking tennis lessons with tennis pro, Adam Huebner.
