The Fidlers Promontory story started back in the ‘80s when Peggy and Bill combined their families and were married in 1987. Combining two families can be tough but not when all seven children love to ski and golf!

Both Peggy and Bill grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania and lived there until 1992 when Bill’s career took them to Henderson, Kentucky. Bill was in the chemical distribution business for 45 years prior to retirement in 2015 and Peggy has been in the horse business since she was a child.

While their first experiences of Western skiing occurred in Colorado they quickly learned that it was much easier to get to Salt Lake City, Utah than Colorado. They had a timeshare at Westgate Park City in the ’90s and then began looking for a second home in Park City in 2007.  They discovered the beauty of Promontory’s golf course community and its family-friendly amenities and purchased their home on Sunrise Loop in 2009. They have loved every minute of every moment in Promontory and as the saying goes, “they came for the winters but stayed for the summers”!

They have seven children between the two of them ranging in age from 31 to 47 and 14 grandchildren with number 15 on the way! Their home in Promontory has become a favorite gathering spot for the entire family during the holidays and various seasons. The family loves to ski, golf, hike, sail, and travel together and one of their simple and greatest joys is watching the spectacular wildlife at Promontory! The Fidlers love introducing family and friends to their part-time life in Utah. Bill has two nephews that now have homes in Promontory and are enjoying the delightful climate and all that our community has to offer.
