Richard, Diane, and their daughter Jessica are excited for a change of pace as full-time members at Promontory from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.
Diane and Richard are both from New Jersey and are a successful blind date story. They dated through college and for Richard, skiing and marriage go hand in hand, “I told Diane if we are going to get married she had to learn to ski and she did,” Richard said laughing. Although Diane prefers summer outdoor activities she now has two world-class resorts in her backyard when she needs a powder fix.Richard worked for Instinet, building technology for financial companies and Diane was an executive at Moody’s Investors Service for 20 years doing financial analysis for municipalities all over the nation. They worked in Manhattan for most of their careers but spent two years in London as well. They are both retired now but have lots of hobbies that keep them busy. The two are avid sailors and their favorite spot to sail is in the British Virgin Islands. Richard’s passions are road cycling, traveling, and he is looking forward to getting back into golf now that they are in Promontory. Diane loves fishing, hiking, and is also a very talented artist and pianist. Her favorite art mediums are mixed media and mosaics.
Jessica is a junior at Colorado College in Colorado Springs and she is majoring in math. She is an outdoor enthusiast who is often found rock climbing or skiing with her dad and she also has her black belt in mixed martial arts – so don’t mess with Jess!
Each year Richard and Jessica do a father-daughter trip and in February 2015 they chose a ski trip to Park City. Richard had been here before but it was Jessica’s first time. After a few perfect ski runs they were both in love and knew they had to convince Diane to move here. They planned a summer trip in June 2015 so Diane would be able to experience her favorite season in their hopeful new city and shortly after enjoying a Stay and Play at Promontory they bought a lot and started building.
