FOR LOVERS OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS, PROMONTORY IS PARADISE!

The Outfitter also orchestrates countless off-property experiences for Members including the popular Promontory Mastercraft Boat for wakeboarding on the Jordanelle and Rockport Reservoirs, as well as a sailing adventure if you prefer.   You can fly fish year round on the Provo River through Heber Valley and down Provo Canyon, rated among the best trout waters in the country.  The Weber River between Rockport and Echo Reservoirs is also considered a blue-ribbon trout stream.  For the hiking enthusiast, explore Utah’s epic State Parks as well as the Uinta Mountains and nearby 11,752 foot Mount Timpanogos.

SKIING

Legendary skiing is what brings many to Utah in the first place. For our Outfitter and former Olympic skier Sean Smith, though, skiing is serious fun! Sean can take you and your family for a ski day at any one of our nearby resorts or help you improve your downhill or snowboarding skills, whatever your skill level. For a more rigorous workout, you can cross country ski through this winter paradise on a guided excursion with our Outfitter.

SNOW SHOEING

Hiking doesn’t end in the summer! During winter months, strap on your snowshoes or borrow some from our Outfitter and trek along paths of glimmering white snow. Our Outfitter will find the perfect trail that will leave you awestruck in the mountain glory during the daytime or under a little moon glow!

HIKING

Hike along paths while through the trees during the beauty of daylight or try a moonlight hike in the evening under the stars. Promontory offers 40 miles of trials. BOATING & WATER SPORTS

Fun on the water is another nearby adventure. Promontory is perfectly situated near two favorite reservoirs, Rockport and the Jordanelle, perfect for paddle-boarding, canoeing, fishing and camping. During the summer, our Outfitter can customize your day with a water excursion you won’t forget on your very own watercraft. Promontory has a Mastercraft Boat that can be reserved , so whether you want to try water-skiing or wake-boarding, your day will be filled with adventure and fun!

MOUNTAIN BIKING

If you have been mountain biking all your life or never tried it before, Promontory and Park City have a variety of trails for all ability levels. Whether you want a challenging ride or want to be entertained in nature’s most spectacular terrain, it’s all here. From relatively flat trails to ripping it up on free-ride, mountain bike riders will find why Park City has been the highest rated mountain biking destination in the world. The hills surrounding Park City offer over 400 miles of public trails, while Promontory offers 40+ miles of its own. No bike? No problem… we have you covered — you can rent a bike at the Outfitter’s Cabin!

FLY FISHING

Learn how to fly cast at Outfitter’s Pond, then hit one of the local blue-ribbon rivers and land a trout. The Provo and Weber rivers are the most popular, but there’s an abundance of small streams and honey holes you can find with the help of our Outfitter. For more adventure, the Outfitter will arrange for you to fly fish year round on the Provo River through Heber Valley and down Provo Canyon, rated among the best trout waters in the country.
