After its 45,00 kilometer trek, the flame will reach the stadium this evening in Vancouver.

Among those who will carry the torch will be California’s Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Walter Gretzky. But no one knows who will light the cauldron!

Just caught sight of the Olympic torch making its way into Vancouver to start the 21st winter Olympic Games.

Local resident, Amanda Wong, has the honor of carrying the torch.

Shannon always has a smile on her face and is one of the most loved athletes on tour. Shannon earned a silver medal in the 2002 games in Park City, and has been a force on the circuit for 12 years.

I caught up with her and she spoke about the excellent conditions of the course.

Watch for Shannon to go big on Saturday night in the freestyle mogul finals. The women’s Olympic team is so strong, and we have high expectations for some medals. Shannon, Heather McPhie, Michelle Roark, and Hannah Kearney make up the squad, and I feel one or more medals are coming home with them.

Go team USA!
