Sean Smith, Outfitter’s Cabin Manager

Sean Smith was a member of the United States freestyle ski team. Sean competed in the 1994 Winter Olympics in Norway and was the professional world mogul champion. He is now the Outfitter for Promontory, where he works to make sure our members get out and play — and that is something Sean knows all about!


Beth Armstrong, Membership Director

Beth Armstrong has been with Promontory for 5 years. She comes to us from LA with her husband Roger and son Brett. In LA she was controller of hospitals for more than 20 years, most recently with Cedars Sinai. After Brett started school she became a business manager for several private schools in LA, most recently Brentwood School. Beth has an MBA from the University of New Orleans and an accounting degree from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana where she was born and raised. Go Saints!!

Kathy Carr, Youth Program Director, Promontory Kids Cabin

Kathy Carr has a Bachelor of Science Degree in family counseling and child development. She has worked in the field of youth programming for over 20 years as Director. She has chaired a variety of state and national organizations including overseeing a national conference for youth advocates which was held in Utah. She has traveled the country and overseas evaluating and endorsing quality programs for the past 15years. She is a grant writer and has secured a variety of grants for youth programs as well as done public policy for Utah and at the national level in Washington DC. Promontory is first and foremost a community. It’s a place where people who love the outdoors, skiing, golfing and being a part of the wonderful mountain town of Park City, come to celebrate. This blog is where we capture the experiences of family and friends of Promontory, and offer some ideas and stories from our staff of experts who are the backbone of our member experiences.


Tommy Chapman, PGA, Head Golf Professional

Tommy Chipman is the Head Golf Professional at the Promontory Club in Park City. Originally from Florida, Tommy moved to Utah with his family to help open Promontory in 2002. Tommy has been a golf professional for 13 years and has worked at some of the finest clubs in the country such as The Country Club of North Carolina, The Homestead in Virginia, and Old Memorial Golf Club in Tampa, FL. Tommy is an accomplished player, teacher and club fitter who is sponsored by Titleist equipment, Nike Shoes, and Puma apparel. He was nominated for the Professional of the Year and Merchandiser of the Year by his peers of the Utah PGA in 2007 because of his success and accomplishments at Promontory. Tommy has served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Tampa Junior Golf Association and is a member of the PGA’s President’s Council since 2006.

Dawn Marzka, Retail Operations Manager

Dawn Marzka is a retail industry veteran with 15+ years of buying experience in a variety of settings including Fortune 500 companies such as the Limited Brands in Columbus Ohio. She came to Promontory fresh off her most challenging position as Chief Merchandising Officer for a division of concept stores for a nationally recognized Young Mens and Juniors retailer. Her husbands ski industry career brought them to Park City and thus her to Promontory. Dawn also holds a degree in Apparel Design in History of Costume and considers herself a frustrated designer.

Jami Moysh, Spa Director

Jami is a 2001 graduate of the Utah College of Massage Therapy where she specialized in Russian Sports Massage. Jami went on to continue her education in Massage Therapy by enrolling and completing The Sports Career Track graduate program in May 2002. During her education, Jami received over 1300 hours of instruction in Massage Therapy, of which 350 hours of extensive training were in Russian Sports Massage. Jami also completed a cadaver course from the University of Utah to increase her knowledge about the structure of the body. She is licensed by the state of Utah and is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. Jami has helped many athletes while working with the University of Utah Rugby Team, Wasatch Women’s Hockey Team, Hinderana Soccer Team, and the Utah Blitzz by enhancing their personal training programs with specifically designed sport massage therapies. Before accepting her role at Promontory as Spa Director, Jami was employed with The Cliff Spa at Snowbird, Utah and with Promontory as a Massage Therapist. During her professional career, she has accommodated a variety of bodywork needs from light to very deep pressure massage and has customized massage sessions to meet individual client’s request and their therapeutic needs.
