December 24th, 2011 · No Comments · Events, Kid's Activities, Living

Spending the holidays at Promontory celebrating with family and friends is what coming “home” to Promontory is all about.   The eve of December 20th began Hanukkah. Lighting a single candle the first night. Natalie from Florida, joins with her family in the nightly celebration, going to Temple and commemorating the customs that have been passed down from more than twenty-one centuries ago.

Santa Claus and the magic he brings to children and young alike begins a few days before the big event.  While Santa hears the wishes from children he makes a list and checks it twice.  Children ask for  choo choo trains, a robot or special doll, all are  requests given to the jolly ole elf.
Dash and Summer, excited to share their wishes with Santa even brought him a gift to thank him for all he does on a busy Christmas Eve. Good tidings of great joy can be felt while families gather together making their holiday traditions at Promontory.    Kyle unselfishly wrapped his favorite train set in hopes that a ” boy who doesn’t have a train set can have a Merry Christmas”. Grace’s request to Santa is to help “end world hunger” in making the season merry and bright to all the world.

Promontory shares in the  holiday  with young and old as families gather together. Home for the Holidays means so many different things for families. But one thing is for sure,  all share in one common hope of “peace on earth and good will towards men”
