When Raymond T. Grant brought the Bluebird Café to Sundance he knew he had brought something very special to Utah.
As he worked with Promontory he knew that he wanted to share with the members that same special feeling that comes from hearing the heart and soul of Nashville’s famed Bluebird Café. For the past three years Promontory has been given the gift to hear from great artists. These are artist’s who have written the hits for so many Nashville singers. Both current and familiar ballads can be heard from these great artists.

Most recently, Tony Arata,Thom Schuyler, and J Fred Knobloch joined us for a weekend never to be forgotten. With the smooth sounds of their gifted voices we heard the stories behind the songs, and learned the deep connection that comes when the guitar plays and the vocals are rich and an artist turns it into a hit.
Tony who wrote songs for Garth Brooks, Patty Loveless, Lee Roy Parnell to name a few, is known for his dedication to his craft and down to earth appeal. He says of his experience at the Promontory venue, “What makes Promontory so amazing is not only the scenery, and mountain views, but the people, who come to listen, they understand the magic that the Bluebird brings.” Tony continued by saying, “It’s like a family reunion around here! Everyone is so nice and accommodating”
Thom Schuyler’s style and wit had the crowd in laughter and also to tears with his songs of deep meaning and messages. His smooth guitar playing kept the crowd in awe and wanted more!
Fred Knobloch’s truly a Mississippi soul man. His hits have included “Why not Me” and “Baby’s Got a new Baby.” He wails on the guitar with a true sound of Mississippi.
Nashville’s Bluebird Café is truly amazing to experience. One of the many member events that are offered in a private setting surrounded by quaking aspens and nights filled with stars. Truly an experience to not be forgotten!
