Promontory “The Longest Day”

June 10th, 2010 · No Comments · Events, Golf, Living, Spa & Fitness, Uncategorized

You’re in for a LONG DAY at the Painted Valley June 21st!

As if it was not long enough already, on June 21st we are going even bigger.  June 21st marks the longest day of the year and we are going to make it longer.

Currently, our course measures out to be 8,098 yards from the Gold Tees; one of the longest in the country as is.

On June 21st we are setting the course up to play 8,357 yards.  This will be the longest course played in North America surpassing “The Pines Courseat The International” in Bolton, MA. which measures 8,325 yards from the “Tiger” Tees.

This is designed to be a challenging yet fun experience for all of our members to enjoy.  There will be a prize for the member who shoots the lowest gross score from the Gold Tees, a tee favor for all who attempt the feat, and a free lesson for the highest gross score. We encourage all to come out and brave the conditions against the Longest Course Monday, June 21st.  Many of our professional staff members will also test their skills against this monster.

If this sounds like a complete nightmare to you, don’t worry! All other teeing areas are still set in their normal positions where you can dominate this course the way your used to.
